Manzamenones Inhibit T-Cell Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase
Manzamenones A~C (1~3) and E~F (5~6), unique oxylipin metabolites isolated from a marine sponge Plakortis sp., have been found to exhibit inhibitory activity against Tcell protein tyrosine phosphatase (TCPTP). The inhibitory activity of 2 and 5 against TCPTP was 4 times more potent than that against protein tyrosine phosphatase-1B (PTP1B).
متن کاملThe natural flavonoid quercetin ameliorates cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis in mice.
Many plant-derived flavonoids including quercetin exhibit antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties. Proinflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress play an important role in acute pancreatitis. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of quercetin on cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis in mice. Animal groups were pretreated with quercetin (25, 50, 100 mg/kg, per os (p.o.)), thalidomide (200 mg...
متن کاملProtective effect of Tribulus terrestris fruit extract on cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis in mice
Objective: Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antimicrobial activities of Tribulus terrestris (T. terrestris) could be helpful in the treatment of acute pancreatitis; thus, this study was designed to investigate the effects of T. terrestris on cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis in mice. Materials and Methods: Three doses (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg) of T. terrestris hydro-alcoholic extr...
متن کاملChemokine receptor CCR5 deficiency exacerbates cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis in mice.
Acute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory disease involving the production of different cytokines and chemokines and is characterized by leukocyte infiltration. Because the chemokine receptor CCR5 and its ligands [the CC chemokines CCL3/MIP-1alpha, CCL4/MIP-1beta, and CCL5/regulated upon activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted (RANTES)] regulate leukocyte chemotaxis and activation, we...
متن کاملDocosahexaenoic Acid Inhibits Cerulein-Induced Acute Pancreatitis in Rats
Oxidative stress is an important regulator in the pathogenesis of acute pancreatitis (AP). Reactive oxygen species induce activation of inflammatory cascades, inflammatory cell recruitment, and tissue damage. NF-κB regulates inflammatory cytokine gene expression, which induces an acute, edematous form of pancreatitis. Protein kinase C δ (PKCδ) activates NF-κB as shown in a mouse model of cerule...
